Isaiah 40:31
But those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
In our minds, we always picture eagles soaring, but they do sleep! They are designed with a special mechanism in their feet that locks into the branch to keep them secure and prevents them from tumbling while getting their much need rest. Hope is like that! Hope secures us closely to the Lord and keeps us from tumbling so we too can find rest and a perpetual renewing of our strength.
