Columbia River from Above
Ecclesiastes 3:11 GNT
He has set the right time for everything. He has given us a desire to know the future, but never gives us the satisfaction of fully understanding what he does.
My husband and I often try to compare notes about when and where we were before we knew each other. There are many times we might have seen, spoken, smiled at each other years before we actually met. A good friend of mine has a photo of her children and my husband and I are in the background. The picture was taken five years before she and I ever met and became friends. God works so far upstream from this very moment in time that it is beyond our comprehension. We can stand at the headwaters of the mighty Columbia River, but we cannot simultaneously see the waters flow into the Pacific Ocean. I am not the person I was yesterday, and I am not the person I will be tomorrow. I can only be who God wants me to be today. What a blessing He is control and I am not!
