Psalm 118:24 NLT

This is the day the Lord has made.

We will rejoice and be glad in it.

One of my favorite times as a teacher was singing, This Is the Day, with the kids first thing in the morning. With the singing and dancing, the clapping and rejoicing, your good mood is set for the day! I find it so interesting that God designed singing with so many health benefits! Research has shown singing:

  • Works the lungs
  • Improves sleep
  • Improves aerobic capacity
  • Relaxes muscle tension
  • Improves posture
  • Opens up sinuses and respiratory tubes
  • Can decrease snoring
  • Releases endorphins
  • Boosts immune health
  • Creates feelings of wellbeing
  • Increases alertness and energizes
  • Elevates mood
  • Reduces, anger, depression, anxiety, and stress

So, the very thing He loves to hear from you – rejoicing – He designed to help and to heal you! So let the rejoicing begin!
