Am I trying to win human approval? No indeed! What I want is God’s approval!
On March 30, 1981, John Hinckley Jr attempted to assassinate President Ronald Reagan. His motive was seeking the approval of Hollywood actress Jodie Foster. While this may seem an extreme example of seeking human approval, can you think of a time that you succumbed to peer pressure or didn’t stand up for what was right because someone else was watching? We can be so distracted by what is happening to our left and to our right that we forget to look UP. When we do look up, we see Him! This beautiful rainbow reminds us that God always keeps His promises, and He promises eternal life with Him. No earthly being can offer you true eternal life so why seek their approval when your true family waits as a follower of God. He sees you. He hears you. HE LOVES YOU!
